New Project

Totally excited about starting the new project tomorrow!! Starting on my modern coffee table ottoman tomorrow. Bought all the fabric, padding, and batting today. Decided to go with a white quilted fabric for the top. And thinking the legs I will either sand and paint either the green i want to use as an accent or may change them out for steel legs... Pics to follow soon.

Ikea Hacker and other ramblings

Sooooo, here's the thing. I'm addicted to Ikea Hacker. If you ask anyone that knows me they will tell you Ikea is my ABSOLUTE favorite furniture store. The clean lines call to me, crazy, I know. But that's my deal. So Ikea Hacker  is a blog for Ikea lovers to come together and show how they've re-purposed their beloved Ikea treasures. So I'm totally digging this site and the members... ROCK ON!

Next order of business: My unnatural love for Chuck's Day Off on Cooking Channel. I'm totally in L-O-V-E with Chuck, he's so dreamy. Thank you Dish Network for bringing me the Cooking Channel and introducing me to my future baby daddy! You are all invited to our wedding... as soon as I move to Toronto, and hatch my plan to cleverly be a diner at his restaurant, make him fall madly in love with me because of my extensive love for DIY, Cooking, and His food.... That is until he makes me eat raw oysters, as he dished up last night on his show... Then its gonna be a long downward spiral for our love...

Hello World

Hey Guys and Gals, DIY-ers and DIY lovers.

I decided to start this blog to reach out to other DIY fans. I'm moving into my own place soon ( in like 3 weeks) and I can't ever find things I like in my price range. So I thought, I'm always watching DIY and HGTV why not try to make the things I can't find. So my first couple of projects will be building a collapsible wall mounted table, a new platform bed, and re-purposing  two coffee tables in to an upholstered ottom and an upholstered bench to be placed at the end of my bed.
